Sorry, but I gotta ask. I've followed so many tutorials, and some stuff is even self explanetory. But, I've got a huge problem with texture and shaders to show up. I don't know if I put them in the right spot and stuff, so I did a little picture explaining it all. And yes, if somebody want's to tell me that the ver. in the pic isn't the same as I'm using, yeah, I know. merzul.deviantart.com/art/Text… I would reall appriciate if someone could help me, 'cause I'm such a noob but LOVE this type of art.
It's not the program, it's your computer. 9/10 times, users who complain that XNALara crashes did not follow the installation instructions including what additional software you need to make it run, including the framework.

hi & im very sorry for not replying u back sooner cuz i was looking for agood answer to help u with ur problem. i asked the Xnalara DA anout this problem & here what they told me to do i hope it works this time cuz i have been suffering from this problem as well so, here u go & best of luck First of all you should have installed Blender 2.49b [link] and Python 2.6.x [link] . Use please the download blender-2.49b-windows.zip !
Make sure that you have Blender 2.49 import v1.7 /Export v2.2 scripts for import/export .mesh.ascii files! [link]
After downloading you should put it into your blender's scripts folder. </b>.blender/scripts</b> If you download installer: users/app data/roaming/Blender Foundation/.Blender/scripts.- for Vista/7.
If you you windows XP, then folder is here : C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\Application Data\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts Maybe the folder is hidden! Toggle the explorer settings.
If you downloaded Zip archive, the folder should be inside. Take Care
Thank you very much for this. It's okay. I think I've figure it out at latter times, I've ask somewhere else. (Many forums I went, where mostly not related to XNALara, but somehow, someone over there happen to know XNALara. )
Anyway, I'm using WIn 7, and, if just you know what this problem would be, [link] , your help is much appreciated. The screenshot beforehand was showing some kind of problem I've faced inside blender. I've tried to rig manually the static model, and try converting it to XNA format, and the picture shows what happen. I got error, says, the python script for import/export mesh.ascii, I think it's crashed or something. I've reinstalled everything from zero, it still show the same behavior.
I need help with texturing, this lesson is about texturing only one character, but im trying to Blender the whole scene that includes The environment, lots of weapons and different characters, when I copy textures tu the folder where i have the OBJ file of the scene, the certain files that have similar names replace each other and that gives me lots of pain in the ass as when i turn on the textures in bleder there a re lots of blank (pink) spots, pls help me out, ive tried renaming the textures but it blank the whole scene out. Help
Even though I'm using .obj files ripped from a totally different game, this is still a very useful tutorial.
But I have a problem with some of the models. A lot of their thinner polygonal details--especially capes and feathers and such--are partially removed along with the blocky excess polygons when I hit "remove doubles" and/or "recalculate normals". Any idea how I might tell the program which are genuine doubles and which are just small/thin polygons?
Awesome tutorial! But I still have a problem... I converted some models from Xnalara for MMD but it looks weird (thats my problem [link]) is it because of the textures or did I do something wrond while I converted them o.o;
Great tutorial, Learned how to do it real fast. The Only things I didn't get to do is how to smooth the model (comes out blocky). The version of blender I'm using is 2.6 so where can I find the smooth groups and the mat group because nothing pops out. Thank you in advance if you might help me
